Summary App Portal requests are not getting updated due to a bug within ConfigMgr 1511/1602 where status messages are not getting updated for packages installed on client machines that are reporting to secondary sites. Symptoms The "Waiting on Status" message gets displayed for requests within App Portal even though the package gets successfully installed on the client device. The request would eventually fail if no status messages are received from ConfigMgr. Cause There's a bug within ConfigMgr 1511 and 1602 version where status messages are not getting updated for packages installed on client machines that are reporting to secondary sites. Resolution The following queries can be run against ConfigMgr Database to determine if status messages are being returned to App Portal from ConfigMgr: Package Status Query Step 1: Run the following SQL query against App Portal to determine the SCCM AdvertisementID. Replace the appPortalRequestID '111' with the specific AppPortal RequestID. Replace the machineName variable 'MYMACHINENAME' with the target machine name. --Start of Query--- declare @appPortalRequestID as int declare @machineName as nvarchar(15) declare @advertID as nvarchar(255) set @appPortalRequestID = '111' set @machineName = 'MYMACHINENAME' select @advertID = sta.AdvertID from WD_SiteToAdvert sta inner join WD_WebPackages wp on wp.PackageID = sta.PackageID inner join wd_packagerequests pr on pr.packageid_fk = sta.packageid and pr.requesttype = sta.type where pr.RequestID = @appPortalRequestID and sta.Type = 0 select @advertID as CMAdvertisementID --End of Query--- Step 2: Run the following SQL query against the ConfigMgr database to get the status message. Replace the values for the machineName "MYMACHINENAME" with your machine name and also replace the advertid value "SA22001D" with the CMAdvertisementID returned from step 1. Note that there are two single quotes surrounding the machine name in the below query. --NOTE: This only works for Pacakges declare @p3 xml set @p3=convert(xml,N'<L><I>SA22001D</I></L>') exec sp_executesql N'SELECT StatusMessages.MachineName, StatusMessages.SiteCode, StatusMessageAttributes.AttributeValue AS AdvertID, StatusMessages.Time, OfferStatusInfo.MessageName, OfferStatusInfo.MessageState, OfferStatusInfo.MessageStateName, OfferStatusInfo.MessageID & 0x0000FFFF AS LastStatusID, StatusMessages.RecordID FROM StatusMessages INNER JOIN OfferStatusInfo ON StatusMessages.ID = OfferStatusInfo.MessageID INNER JOIN StatusMessageAttributes ON StatusMessages.RecordID = StatusMessageAttributes.RecordID WHERE (StatusMessageAttributes.AttributeID = 401) AND (StatusMessages.Type = 258) and StatusMessages.MachineName = ''MYMACHINENAME'' AND EXISTS (SELECT * FROM (select T.c.value(''.'',''nvarchar(255)'') as Id from @Ids.nodes(''/L/I'') T(c)) Ids where StatusMessageAttributes.AttributeValue = Ids.id) ORDER BY StatusMessages.Time DESC',N'@Ids xml',@Ids=@p3 --End of Query---

Summary This article discusses how to resolve the issue where assets are not being added or removed from SCCM collections. Symptoms
When new requests are submitted in App Portal, the assets are not being added to the App Portal collections within SCCM.
The My Requests tab shows the status as "Pending Deployment". The CollectionInsert.log files show the insert counts increasing but not getting processed. The ESDWebService.log file on the SCCM server has the following error: Error processing insert for Request ID 1000 for collection ID CA100AAA Thread was being aborted.
The same issue could be seen in the CollectionClean.log where assets are not being successfully removed from the collections after requests are processed.
Cause This issue is caused when a large number of records need to be processed by the App Portal web service and a timeout exception occurs. The timeout exception gets logged in the Event Viewer logs on the SCCM server.
Resolution This particular issue can be resolved by increasing the execution timeout value (e.g to 6 min) on the SCCM server machine under IIS manager Sites | Default Web Site | ESDWebService | Configuration Editor | system.web/httpRuntime | executionTimeout

Summary This article provides information regarding how to troubleshoot, "Error 0x800A1518" when attempting to connect to AdminStudio Enterprise Server database from Application Manager. Symptoms If you are using a Workflow Manager Web Portal web site with custom security zone settings and your AdminStudio Enterprise Server URL is using an IP address, you may receive Error 0x800A1518 when you attempt to connect to the AdminStudio Enterprise Server database from Application Manager or the AdminStudio interface. Cause Windows has a policy setting that is not set by default: Network security: LAN Manager authentication level. If both the client workstation and the web server do not have this policy configured, they will sometimes not communicate properly, and this prevents AdminStudio from being able to connect to the catalog database. This can be an intermittent problem. Resolution If you receive this error, first change the AdminStudio Enterprise Server URL to the NetBios equivalent and then try again. For example, if you are connecting to http://120.12.1.15 , the NetBios equivalent would be http://wfmportal . Also, if you are using Kerberos and different levels of authentication on your network, be sure that the workstations and servers all use the same settings. In particular, the Network security: LAN Manager authentication level must be set to the same value throughout the network, otherwise it may not be possible to log into a Workflow Manager Portal web site that uses Windows Authentication. To set the LAN Manager authentication level, perform the following steps: To set the Network security: LAN Manager authentication level:
1. On the client machine, run gpedit.msc to open the Windows Local Group Policy Editor.
2. In the Local Computer Policy tree, select Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options. The Security Options view opens.
3. Locate the Network security: LAN Manager authentication level policy.
Note : If the Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level is set to Not Defined on both a Windows 7 client and a Windows Server 2012 server, AdminStudio cannot connect to the Windows Server 2012 and the 0x800A1518 error could be generated. 4. Double-click on Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level to open its Properties dialog box.
5. Select Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated from the list and click OK.
6. Repeat the above procedure to modify the Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level setting on the server machine.

Summary This article discusses troubleshooting steps if the My Apps tab does not get displayed for users. Synopsis This article discusses troubleshooting steps if the My Apps tab does not get displayed for users when accessing the App Portal site. Discussion If the My Apps tab does not get displayed for any users, please verify the following settings:
App Portal is integrated with FlexNet Manager Platform or FlexNet Manager Suite under the Admin | Site Management | Settings | Integration | Flexera Service Gateway ?Enable My App Feature?? setting is checked under the Admin | Site Management | Settings | Web Site | Catalog Behavior | My Apps Options
If the My Apps tab gets displayed for some users but not others:
Verify the User Computer Relationship for that specific user and device exists under the Admin | Site Management | Imported Users and Computers | User Computer Relationships view. If the relationship does not exist, make sure the device is the primary device for that user in SCCM. Perform a data sync to import the latest changes from SCCM into App Portal. This can be done under the Admin | Site Management | Settings | Deployment | Common | Sync Data Now
Additional Information For additional Information, please see Enabling and Configuring the My Apps Tab.
