Hello @gosucako FlexNet Publisher language support is C/C++ or Java for certificate licensing and requiring the FNP local license server. FlexNet Embedded language support is C/C++, Java or C#. There is also RESTful API support via a Cloud or Local License Server, which is intended mostly for online or connected applications (since the license is intended to be in-memory, not persisted to disk). What is your development enviornment (IDE) and can you integrate any of the FlexNet Licensing componentry noted above within your stack?

Hello BigVic, There are multiple minor version releases of FlexNet Publisher from 11.16.0 to 11.16.6. Here is list of all the releases - https://docs.flexera.com/eol/flexnet-publisher.htm I checked the Release Notes for 11.16.0 and, no, Windows 2019 Server is not supported (likely due to timings and timeframes). Is another minor version used (e.g. 11.16.4)? Also, I checked the current version, 11.17.0, and Windows 2019 Server is supported.

FYI - a recently discovered cause and solution for “Invalid (inconsistent) license key” (error -8) When using "demo" vendor keys, which in the year 2020 are automatically TRL enabled, do not use the encryption strength LM_STRENGTH_DEFAULT. The solution is changing the encryption strength to 113BIT, 163BIT or 239BIT.

Hello @tallal85 , You're looking to move an existing (production env.) FNO On-Prem to another FNO On-Prem (update the production env.)? Or in essence, copying an existing FNO-OP to another environment? Typically, such an effort would involve Flexera Professional Services for oversight and guidance. Not to say that other customers have not performed duplication although before jumping to a simple yes or no, there are a number of variables that require consideration. These include number of entities (Accounts, Products, Entitlements, Fulfillments or Devices), Licensing Technology, Custom Attributes, Customer Portal if applicable, etc. If not, I would recommend at minimum a discussion with your Account Team to start. Posting on behalf for Community assistance: ++++++++++++++++++ I have noticed that FNP stores an internal history of license sources that have worked in the past. Also, if the source could not be found at all, I get a license finder popup that looks similar to (see picture). Any sources I enter here will also be stored and used for later license checkouts. I find this inconvenient because - in testing, it muddies up where the license has actually been retrieved from. For instance, I can deliberately give a wrong source (wrong IP address for example) and a valid license is still found *somewhere*. - in production, I'd like to avoid popups not under my direct control. So my questions are: - Can I clear the history that FNP apparently creates? - Can I switch off this behaviour altogether? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ TA Eric

Hi @babu19 , The default deployment support for FNE entitlements is not differentiated until mapping to a device, which at that time is either standalone or server (local or cloud). Could I suggest raising the same with your account team for discussion. They can then determine next steps, such as assistance from Flexera Services and a Flexera solution architect and/or Flexera product management. Best Regards.

Hello @gabriel_meyer , The FlexNet Embedded Porting Kit can support any custom environment or special platform entailing 32 or 64-bit processors, operating systems from mainstream to proprietary and build environments from GNU to non-GNU. If you or the organization have entitlements (ultimately a license or vendor keys from Flexera) then you should be able to move forward with cross-compiling. If not, then your Flexera account manager should be able to assist with sorting out the entitlement(s).

Hi George, In my current testing (clean TS and anchor and no thereafter touch), when client(s) are attempting to hit the license server before it's up and running, the log entry as follows (using agreed producer-settings.xml): ServiceBusyException("Service is busy updating license rights from the back office.") Upon re-starting the license service, the client's borrow expiration period is expired and thus (quickly) re-claimed by the license server, and, lastly, thereafter available to another client capabiltyRequest. Also, upon license server restart (my current testing), clients can be served after the following log entry: GET:/api/1.0/health() Let me know if the anchor cleanup helped. Best Regards, Eric

Can you change the first of letter of your license server, (e.g. from V, to a W) and then back (from W, to a V), and that should trigger (if online) a communication to refresh your license rights. P.S. Please hit 'save' in between changes V to W and back (W to V).
