Hi, I found lately that Asset Name is being overwritten with what the Inventory Name is when the asset is being linked to the inventory. Is there a way I could maintain the asset name (Asset tag from ServiceNow) once linked to the inventory? Thanks

Hi, Need your help guys. I have a situation wherein in the process of software deployment via SCCM, it downloads the installer on the machine for easier installation (or if necessary uninstall the software). However, having a newer version of the same software process-wise is that it removes the old version and installs the new version but the problem is that the installer or setup.exe of the old version is already downloaded on the user's machine, and the existence of which is being read by FNMS stating that it has both the new version and old version on it. All installers via software center/deployment are all stored in a folder called ccmcache located in c:\Windows. Mind you that ARP when checking on the machine directly shows that the installed version is the new one and the existence of the old one has already been removed. Any thoughts on what should I do so FNMS won't read the machine to have old and new versions just because of the installer evidence?

Just to ask you guys because this has been a talk on our side as well, seems like there's confusion now between computer and VM Host considering that most computers if HyperV is enabled, are tagged as VMHost, is that even correct? If not, what difference would it make if we change tagging from VM Host to computer instead? To be honest, up until now the only clear example to me of a VM host is a server that can host a virtual machine regardless of the platform. But since even simple workstation has the capability of doing this, they are then being tagged as VMHost instead of just computer.

From task scheduler...ah ok so its normal but still it shows the ARL Import still failed.

I was able to download that file and the PURL.cab with no problem but after putting them on the data import and reprocess data import they vanish.

Hi, I'm also having a problem with ARL Import as we speak. The last update as per process was 25th of June but I'm on version 2612 yet still, it says ARL Import failed on system tasks. I tried running the MgsImportRecognition.exe and I'm getting the error message: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.

Hi, I recently checked our application container for Adobe CC all apps, and it is weird seeing that none of our users are using it as per FNMS though they have it. I checked the application container and saw a lot of evidence under the Installer evidence tab which I assume setup from ARL, however, I see no file evidence at all so I'm wondering if that is the reason why I'm seeing "No" on "Used" column on consumption? Plus isn't it that ARL supposed to be doing the attachment of these file evidence to the application?
