Things to test:
Is the name 'Beaconserver' resolved to the correct IP address from the computer(s) where you are trying to deploy the agent?
You can test by opening the URL 'https://Beaconserver' in a browser on the target computer(s). You should see the IIS home page, and there should not be any certificate error shown in the browser.
Can you open the UNC path \Beaconserver\mgsRET$ in Windows explorer on the target computer(s)? You should see a the contents of a file share on the Beacon containing the 'mgsreservice.exe' and two subfolders.

The term 'HyperThreading' means that the operating system can address more than one virtual (logical) core for each physical core in a processor.
In other words: With 'HyperThreading', the number of threads becomes greater than the number of cores.
Basically, you have to compare the number of cores with the number of threads reported by your Inventory system for the same device.
If the number of threads is higher than the number of cores, HyperThreading is enabled (very common for server hardware these days)
If numbers are equal, HyperThreading is not enabled

My assumption is that with FlexeraONE, this might be different than with the on-prem version of FNMS.
The Flexera support team should be able to provide you with the latest release of the Business Adapter Studio anyway 😀 .

In the latest version of the FlexNet Manager Suite 2022 R1 System Requirements and Compatibility document, only 'HP-UX 11i v3, vPars/nPars' is listed. Apparently, the compatibility matrix document has not changed in that respect since FNMS 2018 R2.
Although there are known compatibility issues between HP-UX 11iv1 and HP-UX 11iv3, it is likely that the latest Flexera agent versions will run on the older HP-UX version, too.

The standalone (connected) version of the Business Adapter Studio is always included in the latest release of the FNMS product.
After logging into the Community, you can browse to the "Product an License Center" (PLC).
After browsing to the FNMS release you are using - latest release is FNMS 2022 R1 - you can download the installer.
The file description for the latest release is 'Business Adapter Studio for FlexNet Manager Suite 2022 R1'. This is the name of the ZIP file that you can download, too.

The Oracle LMS scripts return all Oracle users configured on an Oracle database instance, including their status.
Flexera counts all Oracle users disregarding the status of these users (Active, Expired & Locked, Locked).
You should probably see the consumption calculated by FNMS for an Oracle Database license using the Named User Plus (NUP) metric as an 'Upper Limit' value or as an estimate. In case of an audit by Oracle, you can try to convince the auditors that some of the Users configured on the Oracle database should not be counted for NUP license consumption. On the other hand, you may be using some generic Oracle user accounts used for running something like a web based portal (multiplexing). In this case, you have to count all users of this portal instead of the generic Oracle user account used by the portal for accessing the Oracle database.
If you believe that the status of Oracle user accounts should be respected when counting the users configured on an Oracle database instance, you should enter this as an enhancement request in the Flexera idea portal.

Hi Roman,
There seems to be a direct relation between the Windows Version and the Windows build + revision number, see the following table.
As the Windows version is retrieved by the Flexera agent, a lookup in this table (which obviously needs to be maintained) based on the version will provide the Windows build and revision number.

When disabling the certificate check on your Flexera agents, the certificate on the FNMS Beacon is ignored. The HTTPS protocol provides only encryption as security on the transfer, without validating that the agent is contacting the correct inventory beacon server. Hi Chris, When I log into the "Product and License Center" from the 'Product Access' link on the top of the community, under "Latest Version" for the FlexNet Manager Platform, I see '2021 R1' (from Aug 2nd 2021) only. No FNMS 2022 R1 yet 😐 .

Hi Yasmina, Which version of FNMS are you using? There has been an issue with older versions where evidence data imported from old inventories have not been deleted from the database if the corresponding software was removed (uninstalled) from the computer. As a 'best practice', for fixing this kind of problem, you should delete the old data from the Inventory data source. For data collected by the Flexera agent, the Inventory data source is the [FNMSInventory] database that is usually located on the same SQL server as the [FNMSCompliance] database. There are two alternatives: If you are working in an on-prem environment and you have access to the SQL Server, you can delete the data for this specific device from the [FNMSInventory].[Computer] table. This will automatically delete all hard- and software data linked to this Inventory. If you don't have access to the SQL server, you can delete the device from the 'Discovered Devices' (Discovery & Inventory > Discovery > All Discovered Devices) view. This will automatically delete the Inventory source data from the [FNMSInventory] database, too. Once new accurate Inventory data for the device have been imported and a compliance import has been performed, the correct Operating System should be reported for this device.

According to an older thread on this community, since F NMS 2017 R2, the number of "standard" Cognos users included in the FNMS license key is 250. This information is stored on your FNMS license file. You can contact your Flexera account manager in case you need the number of Cognos users increased beyond 250.
