This is a requirement of the Inventory Beacon "Service" that is running.
The Beacon Service must run as either the Windows SYSTEM account, or the Beacon Service must run as a Windows Account that is a Local Windows Administrator, which would typically be a Service Account.
Without either of these requirements, the Inventory Beacon will not be able to function correctly.

Hi, To really understand the source of the calculated user data, you can have a look at the various readers. The ManageSoft reader (FNMS Agent) does not have a step to import the calculated user: I guess that's because the agents cannot provide data for calculating a user. SCCM, on the other hand, does store a list of logins per machine. The reader simply groups them per machine and per user and then takes the person with the most logins: There is only one step "GetLastLoggedOnUserData" inthe SCCM reader, but it does import both, LastLoggonOnUser and CalculatedUser. As of the PURL release #450 (May 1, 2020), licenses created for key O365 applications have the "One entitlement allows an end-user to access unlimited installations" option checked as @EHacking has described:
If you created licenses using an earlier version of the PURL, you can update the setting on them manually - or reviewing and accepting recommended licenses changes may also pick this up this change for you.

Dear, finally I can say the problem was oracle database access client to support to connect oracle 8i. I think that direct Inventory is also using this client. Right? Now 8i need specific version of odac rather than odac 11.2. Do you know which version can support 8i correctly? Regards, gotqcorp

Hi, You could also check the cluster and host (ESX) inventory date from the "Virtual Devices and Clusters" view. They should be up to date if the process works correctly. Best regards, Markward

Hi @sushantnarula94 , There are several ways how to achieve this: Activate the replication on IIS as stated before On Beacon check the IIS log file, complicated as you have a lot of entries there Or the solution that I implemented: On beacon you have a in Task Scheduler a task called upload flexera log and inventories, this task is the one that upload your inventory. I created a power shell script that will list all content of the incoming folder (depend on your installation where this folder is, by default is in c:\programdata\flexera software\incoming) this is the folder where you receive all the .ndi files, and dump the list in a .csv file, in this way if you have multiple beacons you can see in on which beacon the .ndi files are coming, I modified the tasks and put my custom powershell before executing the upload, so in this way you will have accurate data. The command that I use is the following: dir 'C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\Incoming\Inventories' | select Name,CreationTime | Export-Csv 'd:\temp\beacon_01.csv' -Append Also I activated the replication on app server, so that I can check the .ndi files that are coming, it's very useful, also you should take into consideration to implement a clean up procedure for the replication folder, as the .ndi file will stack up an consume your space.

The ManageSoftRET$ and mgsRET$ shares are used to carry out remote execution and adoption tasks. See https://docs.flexera.com/FlexNetManagerSuite2019R2/EN/WebHelp/PDF%20Documents/On-Prem/GatheringFlexNetInventory.pdf - 'Zero footprint: Normal Operation'
I believe that you could change the permissions under Computer Management > System Tools > Shared Folders > Shares
However, if you actively use remote execution in your environment, then I wouldn't recommend amending the default permissions set by the installation.

"For good performance, limit each beacon to about 10,000 devices that it will inventory directly or through the installed FlexNet inventory agent. (This limit does not apply to inventory collected from third-party systems.)
Manage this load by assigning individual subnets to each inventory beacon through the settings in the compliance browser."
However, this is more of a recommendation rather than a hard limit.
