Java SDK Reporting Differences
Java SDK Reporting Differences
Due to limitations of the Java language, the following reporting differences exist between clients using the Java SDK and other platforms.
- OS Edition: Clients on Windows machines will have the OS Edition reported as ‘Generic’, e.g. Microsoft Windows 7 Generic.
- CPU Cores: Represents the number of logical processors.
- Memory: In SDK version 5.3 and older represents the memory available to the JVM and not the entire memory available on the machine. From SDK version 5.4 and newer it represents the entire memory available on the machine while the Java VM RAM property represents the memory available to the JVM.
The following properties are not collected and clients using the Java SDK will be included in these reports under the <NULL> value:
- CPU Type
- Form Factor
- Graphics Card Model
- Virtual Machine
- Touch Screen
All other properties available are reported consistently with other platforms.
