Preventing The Cancellation of the Main Installation During a Feature Prerequisite Install
Preventing The Cancellation of the Main Installation During a Feature Prerequisite Install
Summary
By default, an install that has a feature prerequisite will launch the feature prerequisite install mid installation and suspend the main install until the feature prerequisite has completed.Synopsis
By default, an install that has a feature prerequisite will launch the feature prerequisite install mid installation and suspend the main install until the feature prerequisite has completed. It is possible to cancel the main install while the feature prerequisite is running, which may not be desirable in certain cases.Discussion
The easiest way to prevent the cancellation of the main install is to simply disable the cancel button for the SetupProgress dialog. This can be done through the Dialogs view for the SetupProgress dialog. Setting the Cancel button's Enabled setting to False will prevent the user from clicking on the button and cancelling the install during the main installation progress.Labels (3)
