Symptoms

During project migration, the message "Value for binary entry ISSetup.dll differs from original. Reverting back to original value." appears. The migration process will still continue.

Cause

ISSetup.dll contains the InstallScript run-time engine. The message is due to changes in Installscript over the different version of InstallShield being applied during the upgrade.

Steps To Reproduce

The message appears during the migration of Installshield project. The message is more likely to appear if the difference in version is greater.

Resolution

The message will not prevent the migration from taking place successfully and is for informational purposes. However, since the Installscript functions has changed over the different versions, it is recommended to refer to the migration helpdoc listed in Additional Information section to see if any code needs to be modified.
