Passing a Suite Property to Command Line of Package

Passing a Suite Property to Command Line of Package

Summary

If you pass command line properties to a suite install, you may want to pass these properties down to the packages being installed. This can be done by modifying the Command Line setting.

Synopsis

If you pass command line properties to a suite install, you may want to pass these properties down to the packages being installed. This can be done by modifying the Command Line setting.

Discussion

Under the Packages View, if you click on the package there should be a Common tab in the right pane that has settings for the package. If you expand the Install setting there should be a Command Line setting. This is where you can specify what to pass as a part of the command line to the package.
For example:
/v"TESTPROPERTY=\"[SUITEPROPERTY]\""
NOTE: If you want to pass a suite property to the package you may want to use the escape character \" as part of the command line in the event there are spaces in the suite property.
