skin on a dialog from a seperate dll
😞 i have a dll that displays a dialog box. we call a function from inside our insall script to display a dialog box from this application.
we are using blue skins. is there any way to make the dialog have the same skin as the installshield dialogs.

I have done tht in the past but the only way I could achive this was to use image files (that are being used for the skin by instalshield) and apply them indivudually to each part of my "external" dialog box.

sounds like a lot of work.
we are porting a installshield 6 install package to installshield 2008. for whatever reason, they developed this dll with this dialog. i think everything they do can be done in native installshield dialogs. we are going to attempt to do that.
is it hard to customize an installshield dialog and keep the skins?

well.. it isnt really that much of work..but anyways...customizing Installshield dialog boxes to a skin is pretty easy, if you look at your installshield installation CD you should have a package for skincustomization.
