removing or skinning status dialog?
Hi out there-
Pardon my ignorance, but I am just stepping into the IS world...
I am preparing an installer, a special installer.
One of my goals, is to make the dumbest simplest looking installer. I want to make one that says as little as possible.
This means that I want to dispense of the big dialogs. I want to dispense of as much clicking "next" as possible.
I am able to do this, with one exception. The big "status dialog" which shows everything being installed, is big. How can I make into a small, minimally informative, dialog?
Thanks

What kind of project are you creating? If MSI, perhaps set LIMITUI (and ARPNOMODIFY) to 1 in the Property Manger? If InstallScript, perhaps replace Enable(STATUSEX) with Enable(STATUS) or the like?
