image of installation doesn't appear in XP
hey,
I've created an installation for an office add-in.
In the dialogs section, i've set a background image for all screens (back.bmp).
i've looked at the properties and the image for the SetupCompleteSuccessand SetupCompleteError and they both are set for this image.
I've check in the Direct Editor under the Binary table and i see that the path is under NewBinary22. Under NewBinary5 is an old back.jpg that i used previously but had problems with.
My problem is that on XP when i cancel the installation or complete it successfully at times it doesn't display the background image.
What could be the problem ?
Thanks,
garkler

just a hunch, but when Msi logic displays a dialog, it uses the tab order to draw controls. i would check the direct editor to make sure that the tab order (implemented via the Control_Next field) is continuous and that the position of the background in the tab order makes sense with respect to the draw order.
