error -7382: A child feature is selected without the corresponding parent
Hi,
We purchased the update of InstallShield 2008 two days ago and when attempting to build a project created with InstallShield X, I systematically get the following error:
ISDEV : error -7382: A child feature is selected without the corresponding
parent feature in the following Setup Type: "My Feature"
This problem happens when at least one of my feature contains one object.
I have tried many different methods to get rid of that problem but nothing worked.
- removing all child features
- removing my own object and keep the "built-in" objects
- getting the newer objects from your site
The only way I can compile my project is to remove all the objects but this is useless since I need those objects.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Edmond

Has anyone found a resolution for this issue. I'm running into the same problem. When I remove all objects it builds fine. But once I add in objects to include (mainly merge modules) I get this error. I'm using InstallShield 2009.
Any thoughts?
