error 1158: -- pls help
Hi,
I am getting error 1158 without any description when i am trying to Remove or Change from ARP...
This installer is supporting the following languages:
English
Japaneese
Chaineese
Korean and
French
I got this error in English OS(ofcourse I didnt tried other)
I replaced the following files in C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\ but of no use:
setup.ini
setup.isn
1033.mst

Nice, have you debugged it to see when this message pops up? Might be helpful if they know what API or what exactly was called at the time of the pop up.

Thanks for your replay.... whenever i double click on .exe or the entry in ARP then itself the error is poping... so i am unable to debug or generate .log file...

You should be able to create a debug log by passing /debuglog"C:\PathToLog\LogFile.log" to the failing setup.exe from Start->Run or a command prompt.

I have InstallShield Express 2009 and I had the same problem, and I fixed it changing the Required Execution Level from Invoker to Administrator.
This setting is in the Releases option, in the Setup.exe tab.
