I have a InstallScript project which currently compiles into a Setup.exe when I choose to compress the files. Is there a way to have it be an msi file instead?
Convert the InstallScript project to a Basic MSI project.
The two are totally different technologies. If you haven't already, I suggest you take a look at the IS help that explains the different types of projects available.
Unfortunately there is no mechanism, due to the reason that Kathy mentions, to 'convert' the Setup.exe to a msi package.
The process would take a redesign on your part, which, depending on the size and complexity of the setup, would involve a significant amount of time to learn the technology, plan the setup structure, code the setup, and then test the deployment.
