can IS2008 support both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms in one installer
hi all:
I'm using InstallShield2008 professional version. I want to create a intaller runs under 32-bit and 64-bit. My project type is InstallScript MSI.
When I set the Template Summary filed, I only can set to Intel or x64, not both.
So it's impossible to support 32-bit&64-bit in one installer?
If so, how to do that.
Thanks.

Correct - it is impossible to write an MSI that installs on a 32-bit machine and can target 64-bit folders the MSI way, or register under the 64-bit view of the registry, etc. Heath Stewart of Microsoft blogged about this earlier this year, indicating that multiple packages are indeed required when targeting multiple different platforms (which x86 and x64 count as).
