Windows 7 | Windows 2008 R2

InstallShield 2010 has advertised support for Windows 7 & Windows 2008 R2.
Does this mean that installer packages created using InstallShield 2008 will not run on these platforms or are they referring to lack of support for integrating specific features of this new OS platforms in the installer package? Thx

Packages created to work on Windows VISTA should easily work on WIndows 2007 and 2008 cause UAC would not change of any of mentioned plateform.

IS just want your money.....LOL..

There may be spefic support in IS 2010.. gadet support etc., overall you shouldnt have any problem running your installers on Windows 2007 and 8...I confirm this on windows 2007 for now.

Right, there are two main questions here: will it work, and is it officially supported. The answer to the former is generally yes, as most such failures also represent backwards compatibility problems in Windows. However, because the answer to the second is no, if there's an OS-specific reason something fails you'd have to find a workaround or upgrade. There are other time-saving things we add as part of official support as well; but you'll have to decide how important those are to you.
