Update breaks Update Manager

On starting IS2009, software update manager indicated there were 2 updates available. The first one appears to have been for the Software Update Manager because after I installed and rebooted Software Update Manager is throwing exceptions and is not working. Anyone else having an issue? OS is XP Professional, current with all Microsoft updates.

Could you provide more information on the specific errors you're seeing? Screen shots might be helpful as a starting point.

That error message is coming from a version of FLEXnet Connect prior to the one that was distributed with InstallShield 2009. Do you recall the specific update message you saw or can you still see the update in the list provided by Tools -> Check for Updates?
