I am creating a SUITE install using InstallShield2012 Spring. By default all my features are checked. Is it possible to make features NOT checked by default? Seems like quite a basic requirement to me! Cant seem to find anything in the interface to do this. Is it possible to manually change the suite XML file to achieve this?
The Condition setting for a feature lets you specify the conditions that the installation should use to evaluate whether the feature should be selected for installation by default on the InstallationFeatures wizard page. So, for your requirements, you would simply define a condition that is always false for each feature in your project.
