Simple way to create Desktop Icon for all users?
Hello,
is there a simlpe way to create a desktop icon for all users, or do I have to run a script to do that? And if yes, how?
Best regards
Stefan

To have the product installed for all users as in the article in the above post would be the easiest case.
If for some reason you want to make a shortcut for all users even if the product isn't installed for all users, you can put the shortcut in C:\Users\Public\Desktop (hidden, Win7 folder) or in XP there was C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop folder. Not sure about win 8 and onward but I would try and see if they were still the same as 7.
