Signed installation: Cannot install on a VmWare Computer

When installing on a virtual VmWare computer with Windows XP SP3 (Without network connections) a popup appears reporting error 1330. It also says 'Error 266 was returned by WinVerifyTrust'.

The installation is built using InstallShield 2011. We have the build configured to sign “setup.exe and Windows Installer Package” using a .pfx certificate from Verisign.

This kit has installed successfully at other “normal” (not virtual) computers.

Any ideas what might be going wrong?

I've just found a solution of this problem: You must make sure that the root certificate is found on your computer. See also http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295663.

Hey I was also facing the same issue with my laptop. Think this link can help me out now. It's tuff these days to reach the exact issue of the computers. Tiny things some times create lot of issue. 😉
