Sign single image Setup.exe with signtool
Hi,
I am new to installshield and signing code.
I use VS 2015 with InstallShield LE.
With the Installshield I build a Setup.exe as a single image to not have some other files and folders for the prerequsites and the actual software.
After the build is complete, a setup.exe exists.
If I now sign this setup.exe with the signtool from MS and install this setup, the UAC tells me that only the actual software installation is not signed.
It seems to me that there is a msi.exe inside the setup.exe which is not signed.
Is this a fact?
If yes, how can I sign the msi file inside the setup.exe.
If no, what I am doing wrong?
What alternatives do I have?
Here is a screenshot of the UAC:
Thanks for your help.
