Sequencing Upgrades
Hello,
is it possible to sequencing Upgrades? I have to uninstall the previous version of my product and also another product before installing the new version of A. Product B has to be uninstalled before A because if uninstallation of A detects B it will abort.
Thanks for your help.

Since there is no order or sequence column provided by the Upgrade table, there would be no deterministic way of controlling the order of upgrades (if this is necessary, all the upgrade entries could be changed to detect only entries, and custom actions could be used to manually perform the uninstall of the related products).

Thank you for helping me understand msi. But as far as I know it is not possible to start another Un/Install within an installation. Or am I wrong?

It is possible to run another MSI package from your MSI, but this can only be done from the UI sequence of your MSI package. It is not possible to run another MSI installation from the execute sequence of your MSI.
