Registry key values are not preserved after an install

Hi,

Here's my problem.During a first setup on a workstation, I create keys in the registry:

These keys as well as the values are well created.

After uninstalling the software, I want to keep the keys and values: it also works

The problem happens when I want to reinstall the same software and keep the existing values. I systematically overwrite the values with those of installshield.

Do you have an idea ?

You could use a "System Search" to check if the keys/values exists and store that in a property. And use the property/result in a condition in your component.
