Progressbar not progressing
Hi,
I got a SQL 2005 Expr PRQ wich runs during the setup in /qb mode...
During the SQL Server installation I got a Flash Billboard showing in "Windowed with standard progress" mode.
Well... everything works fine... but the progressbar isn't progressing...
Is that behavior a result of the SQL Server Installer? Its an exe-file containing several MSIs...
I'm still a Installshield newbie and could use some help solving this...
In advance, thx 4 your help.

There is no way to hook the progress information from the SQL installation because SQL setup bootstrapper is already hooking progress information and the installation runs multiple MSI packages. While the prerequisite is installing, a status message on the progress dialog is displayed indicating which prerequisite is being installed.

Any idea what I can do to prevent users from getting bored, watching an not progressing progressbar? 😉 And... even more important... prevent users from pressing the Cancel button....
