Production Issue - Closing client software

Hi,
We have Install Shield 2013. It has reached End Of Life. A case was opened, but closed immediately by support, due to End of Life. We will update our software soon, but need help right now.  Since there was no resolution, the case recommended to post this question in this blog. I really hope that someone will respond!


We use Install Shield to do an update from one version of our client software to another. The issue is that during the update, the older software client does not always close down. Is there a way we can make the installer process for the new updated client software do a hard kill on the older client software process so our support will not have to close it manually for users?
