Prerequisite prompts for reboot when I have it set up not to
New prerequisite that calls an executable to uninstall an much older version of a related product. After it completes, I am presented with the "would you like to reboot now" prompt even though I set the prerequisite to be /passive /norestart.
What kind of executable is that(standard exe installation executable like .net)? Make sure your executable support /norestart (or other related parameter) to suppress the restart. Does it prompt for restart when you execute the command manually from command line?
Standard executable. I found that calling it from the command line did not prompt me to reboot. Is it safe to say that it's something about the prereq properties (itself)? BTW, the executable has no command-line options so /passive /norestart are ignored.
Thank you for your assistance.
