.NET 2.0 and earlier redistributables should be available in the Release Wizard or other release settings.

What is the release wizard ?
I did some research and it seems like .NET 2.0 applications should add the .NET 3.5 redistributable.
There are two problems with this solution:
1) Many people have .NET 2.0 and .NET 3.5 installation is not needed
2) Even the client .NET 3.0 takes a very long time to install
Is there another solution ?
Can I write this manually ? or get a sample of code to do this with Install Shield ?

The Release Wizard is available under the Build menu, and you can get to the settings in the Media view group. Looking up "Release Wizard" in the help index will lead you to more information.
