Is it possible to use the "pnputil" instead "DIFx" to install driver?

Our product installer use the DIFx install when it install the driver.The customer think and worry about that the "DIFx" is deprecated. So they want you to consider to use the "pnputil" instead "DIFx".
Is it possible to change it?
