Installshield LE 2011 Incorrect User Instructions
If you build a new MSI and try to install it over a previous one, InstallShield LE produces an error dialog that says "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel.".
HOWEVER, these instructions to the user are TOTALLY WRONG and are certain to seriously confuse the user, since the InstallShield LE doesn't even support use of Add/Remove Programs!!
The proper text for LE should be something like "..., use the Start menu to find the existing version of the product under All Programs and uninstall it.".
Sadly, unlike most other dialogs and text, this particular error message can't be changed. Adding this error message to the list of changeable text messages would also be a good idea, but it still shouldn't default to the above for the Limited Edition.

While you may have disabled ARP support in your project, ISLE as a whole supports registering programs with the ARP (or Programs and Features as it is named in more recent versions of Windows).
Unfortunately the message you quote is from Microsoft's Windows Installer service and we cannot control it.
