Installpath by Registry wont work
Hi, i searched a lot, but the Scripts i found in this forum to dynamicly set a Installdir by Registry wont work.
I have a reg folder in Hkey local machine with a REG_SZ entry that is named InstallDir. The installpath is in there. But the scirpts wont take it out. Please help me: What typ of InstallShield 2008 Installer do i need (simply MSI, Script, etc...), and has anyone a complete script for me?

Where did you put your script and when is it executed?
If you put the script in function onFirstUIAfter(), would it work?

the script i saw was somewhere on onbegin() or something like that.
But i think there was a problem with the script. Can you or anyone else give me a complete working script please?
P.s.: Thanks for the fast answer.....

Is this still a problem? A little poking around the help files will definitely give you what you need to write your own script. If you still need help let me know.
