ISPreventDowngrade displays a blank error message.
I'm following the instructions for Preventing the Current Installation from Overwriting a Future Major Version of the Same Product, as described in the manual, and it works except the ISPreventDowngrade always displays a blank error message. At the moment my Error Message is set to [IS_PREVENT_DOWNGRADE_EXIT], but even if I change it to "An error message" it still displays a blank error message.
Any ideas?

The upgrade table should contain the correct entry that sets the property(you defined). Than you use this property on a type 19 Custom Action.
Have a look at the help topic 'Preventing an Old Package from Installing Over a Newer Version'.
Everything is explained there....
