IS2015SP2 - InstallScript Setup launcher stopped working

Hello,

I have a starting installation problem on a specific customer VM's Windows  Server 2012 R2 running our setup.exe made with IS2015 SP1. It's the first time I see a problem like this.

Customer VM is configured in this way:

- Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard 6.3.9600 (Patching: April 2019)

- Oracle Client 12.1.0 x86

- Oracle Client 12.1.0 x64

- IBM Data Server Client – DB2Client1 v.10.5.600.232

Below you can find more problem details.

It is not a problem of the MF9_1_Client.exe setup file because it was used a lot o f time before on other and on Windows Server 2016 system to without any issue

Any help will be apprecied!

Kind regards,

Fabio

Hi @tech_info ,

Are you using any Installshield IS 2015 SP1 hotfix in your InstallShield machine?

Hi @banna_k ,

we have IS2015 updated to SP2 (version 22). We have already used this setup client on a lot of other customer Windows Server 2012 R2 (or higher like Win Srv 2016) and we never had a problem or seen this behavior.

In last week I have installed patch IS2015_IOJ-1829226.exe, recreated setup client a tried it on customer target  server but issue still remain.

I think that some Windows feauture is disabled, I'm still investigate on it with customer system administrator.

Kind regards,

Fabio
