IS 2008 On-Line Registration Does Not Work
On-Line registration of the IS 2008 license fails to work when the client computer a member of a moderately secure corporate IT domain.
The registration process requires reverse connection by Macrovision's WEB Server to the client to validate the license key. Most corporate IT environments will never allow this through their firewall.
The only option is to manually dialog via e-mail with Macrovision Support to get a valid registration key.

I've asked, and the activation process should not require the web server to make a new connection to the client; the web server should be able to respond on the connection the client made to the server.
