IIS Virtual Folder Doubts..Can anyone help please
hey all...
newbie to installshield using an evaluation version of Installshield Professional 2009...i got prepare a package for a webproject...so i was trying out using a basic msi project type. I tried out using server configuration >> Internet Information Services. By doing so i was able to create a virtual folder under a website ...
i have a couple of queries...can anyone help me out
1. How can i check if iis is installed or not ???
2. How can i put the virtual folder under the default website ???
3. I had plans of customising a dialog which has a couple of combo boxes say one of them which lists out the wesites in the target machine and another combo box which lists out the virtual folders under the selected website...Is this possible to achieve...???
4. i tried out a sample test case in IIS 7 and it created a application folder under which the virtual folder was created and both of them were pointing to the same physical directory...how can i avoid this application from being created ??
Please suggest me as to how to proceed
