How to specify the name of the final .msi file?

Hi,

I want the application name to be "Application Name" but the .msi that I create from a command line install shield build IsCmdBld.exe to build a file called ApplicationName.msi (i.e., no spaces).

Is this possible?

Thanks.

For one option, in your project file you can open the (Media view) product configuration settings (not the release settings) and override the MSI file name to be something other than [ProductName]...

Thanks for the response. For some reason, my Install Shield 2010 doesn't have the "Product configuration settings" or the "Media View" or the "ProductName". Which menu option leads you to all these items?

In the Installation Designer, there should be a view called Media, under which is a view called Releases. Inside that is a tree for each product configuration and release you've defined; selecting the product config icon should have that setting.

Please see the help topic "General Tab for a Product Configuration".
