How build a Windows 7 setup usign a Windows 10 build machine?
Hello,
I have successfully built and deployed Windows 10 executables, but I naively thought that Windows 7 would "just work". I found it it didn't, as a missing dll error occurred on startup of the application (the specific missing one being api-ms-win-core-rtlsupport-I1-2-0.dll) but I have a feeling it is more fundamental than that.
The "Installation Requirements" section of the Project Assistant seems to suggest it is possible to build for other versions, with Windows 7 being among the list. However, when I select it, it gives an error "-5002: Product Configuration 'Express' is not found in the specified project. Verify that the Product Configuration name is correct." But this too may not be the real problem, I am not sure.
Thank you,
Andy

Hi,
Try disabling the Scan at Build setting in the Properties view of your files.
