File deleted after major upgrade

Hello

When I perform a major upgrade while an installed program is running, data files in use by the running program are deleted.
.EXE, .DLL files are fine.  However, other files are deleted after rebooting.
Which part is the problem?

I installed "Fonttest_4", and then doubleclicked "SimpleOpenGLBase"

With the application running, I ran the installer for "fonttest_5" which prompted me that a file was in use and asked if I wanted to close the application. I accepted, and the upgrade completed.

I restarted the machine, and no files were missing.
Let me know if I'm missing something in how I'm testing this.

If you don't accept for "close the application", then reboot is required. After reboot  'font\NotoSansCJKkr-Regular.ott' will disappear.

In your project can you try the following setting:

MEDIA > Upgrades > Upgrade Windows Installer Setup > Install Setup then remove unneeded files

This will alter the order when the Major Upgrade runs the RemoveExistingProducts action in the sequence and appears to solve the issue.
