Enterprise Roll-out of java installations?
It is increasingly common for our larger clients to install our products by "pushing" it onto user's desktops.
In recent memory, several clients have all raised incidents either because they were unable to do it, or complaining that they had to spend several man days writings scripts BEFORE they could do it and that these scripts would probably have to be re-written for the next release.
We have also had several enquiries whether our product installation is compatible with SMS (that's Microsoft Systems Management Server, nothing to do with mobile phone texting)
Are any other majority windows platform users suffering from the same problems?

I gather the main thing is that installers support silent installations and return a sensible return code, which ISMP installers should do. Naturally, an ISMP installer isn't as tightly integrated with the operating system as, say, an MSI package, but they should be "pushable" in the basic sense.
(For the briefest of overviews of one approach, please see Microsoft KB article 231747, "How to publish non-MSI programs with .zap files".)
