Deselecting a feature should not cause the uninstallation
Hi,
I'm running into an issue using Installshield as a Data Setup.
For a software installation / update this behavior is totally that what I would expect but the data update should not uninstall a feature if i deselect it because the user should be able to select by his own which data he wants to update and which not.
Is there a possibility to turn off this standard behavior in the FeatureSelect?
Holger

Hi,
I'm still struggling:(
Maybe this is a wrong approach to handle this issue...
Is there a possibility to remove the features from the setup dynamically during the run?
I only find FeatureAddItem to add new feature to the feature list but I don't find anything like FeatureRemoveItem. The FeatureRemove functions causes the uninstallation what I want to avoid.
Or what about the log files? Is there a possibility to modify the ActionState to tell Installshield to do nothing although it would uninstall the feature?
Thanks
Holger
