Compressing a release package

Hi all,

Currently I am using InstallShield 6.3 with PackageForTheWeb which is compressing and packaging the installation.
I want to move to InstallShield 2010. As I understand, PackageForTheWeb is not supported anymore. InstallShield 2010 has ReleasePackager.exe tool which creates the package WITHOUT compression.

The question is how can I compress the installation package (as PackageForTheWeb did)?

Thanks.

You can still package the release into one setup.exe by creating a compressed release. Set the 'Compression' attribute to compressed in the Release.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Alpesh,

I am building an install-script project, so the compression option in the release wizard is just for compressing the script files, which is not much.

If I do the same packaging using PackageForTheWeb with compression I get ~10mb package instead 11mb package (1mb difference which is a lot for me).

The issue is that I do'nt want to use PackageForTheWeb because it is not supported anymore by Flexera.

Thanks again,

I am still waiting for someone help !!
