Cannot edit MSM Database file (.msm)
I am currently using a trial version of InstallShield 2015 - Premier with Virtualization pack Version 22 while I wait for my serial key. Every .msm file I open is always opened in Read Only mode. I have the file checked out of TFS, I have verified the file properties are not read-only. I have tried rebooting to ensuring no other process is using the file. I have tried copying and renaming the file. I am able to open, edit, and save .ism files but it seems no matter what I do the .msm files always opened in read only mode. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem or could anyone offer any suggestions on things I could try to resolve this problem?
thanks

I know this seems trivial but when you say msm - I'm assuming your talking about your ism project that builds your msm.
This also seems trivial but when you check out from TFS initially all your files checked out are Read-Only. You have to then R-Click and "Check out for Edit" so you can modify the file and check it back in.
If that does not work - do you have permissions to check in files to TFS?
