1605 error

Hi I am having this problem with Installscript MSI project.
Whenever I try to uninstall using uninstall shortcut I created at the start up menu the application is not fully removed.It is still displayed in add/remove programs neither can I remove it from there.The window clean up utility is also not able to detect this partial uninstalled product.Not only this ,now I can't even re-install it.Because everytime I click the setup.exe file again.It opens up in uninstallation/modify./repair mode but on choosing any option gives the same error

Error:-1605 The action is only valid for products that are currently installed.
What to do?
Installscript MSI projects are not compatible with msi uninstallers?

See if KB Q105808 helps to resolve that issue.

thank you very much it solved it..
my new project is working fine:cool:
But I still can't remove the previous one 😞

If you were able to fix the uninstall shortcut, the last thing you'll need to do is manually delete the uninstall key and the product folder in C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information. This is a one-time change that will get rid of the InstallScript leftovers.
