silent install log file?
I am having a problem with my silent install (have another thread on this). In an attempt to troubleshoot it, I add some "Modify Text Actions" throughout my installer so I could see what was happening.
The problem: I never see the trace file get created during a silent install. It only works for a normal GUI install.
Does anyone have any advice on this? I'm really stuck with the silent install and this seemed like a way to diagnose it.

My best guess now is that the silent install "dies" before it gets to executing the installer script. Based on what I can see in the windows task manager, it may be deflating the compressed image and attempting to launch the install. But, I don't think it ever makes it to the script.
Since my install is currently GUI only - I wonder if this is the problem? I guess I can try adding a few Console dialogs as a proof of concept. The documentation does not say this is a requirement (in fact, the documentation doesn't say much as all about silent installs).
