silent install fails

Hi,

I have been trying with silent installation of my product using the following steps.
1.created response file using install.exe -r c:\myresponse.txt
2.Edited myresponse.txt and added INSTALLER_UI=silent and CHOSEN_INSTALL_SET=AppServer,FileMgr as these are the two variables I have used in my project to install the Application Server and File Manager components of our product.
3.Finally tried silent installation using install.exe -f myresponse.txt.

I see nothing gets installed.Could some one help me out with this please.

FYI:The response file myresponse.txt was placed at the same location where the install.exe is located and I enabled silent mode in InstallerUI->Look&Feel section of my project.

Hi,
For silent installation at first we have to check whether it supports the silent installation are not.

you havent mentioned which type of sdk and exe u want to silent installation.
provide me the name of the sdk and exe you are trying for silent installation.

Am using installanywhere 2008 vp1 tool to generate installer for my product and I know the tool supports silent installation.am not getting what do you mean by sdk here in this context?
