how can i create a custom install set and custom code rule

i want to prepare custom install set is it possible ? well i am also trying to custom code rule for my own requirement but i am unable to do it.
Can anyone guide me in preparing custom install sets and how to implement custom code rule.

Have you checked the IA 2008 manual? There you have the Install Sets section, and the whole Custom Code section!
