I am using the $PROGRAM_DIR$ variable to find a Windows setup.exe on the end users system during the Pre-Uninstall of my installer but for some reason the variable value comes back with some extra spaces in it. Has anyone else seen this?
I am looking for C:\Program Files\InstallShield Information\........ and it comes back as C:\Program Files \InstallShield Information\..... I have quotes around the entire path but it does not seem to be help at all because the path is still not found.
I was actually setting another variable to $PROGRAM_DIR$ and I had two extra spaces in action to set the variable. Wish I would have noticed that earlier, oh well, maybe it will help someone else. Beware the copy and paste.
