Modify text on Linux

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to modify a text file, that contains user name and password.
User enters user name and password through IA , and then i modify the corresponding file with the values.
I am using modify text file action.
This all works fine with the Windows.
But when i am doing same thing with Linux it doesnt do the changes and shows following error in the log.
Modify Text File - Single File: No Target Chosen
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - Unable to locate ASCII text file to be manipulated. Deferring...
Any help?

Thanks,

Could you check if maybe you've put a platform condition on that file so that on Linux it's not installed? Would it be possible for you to post your project?

So hw can i know which of them got failed?
Can u help me in this regard?
or can i put some information along with this, in the logger, when modify
text action takes place?

You can enable logging for the installation and if this is not enough you can output debug information to a file.

Well, almost an year later, I encounter the same problem on the same IA version... and then I realize that the error message is not at all useful as it omits an essential information: what is the filename it cannot find?!?
