I don't know what ISMP registry was, but there is a special IA registry. On Windows it's located in the Program Files/Zero G Registry and on Linux is located in the /var folder.

Hello jhecter,
ISMP operates on global registry which has all the installations registered and available in a hsql db format.
IA also has the same concept , except that it has two registries global [as vlad pointed] and local [available in installed location in xml format. While global has the product data at installer level , more detailed w.r.t the installer will be available in local registries.
Hope that helps.
