How to change the startup type from manual to Automatic of pre-installed service
Hi,
I have a pre-installed service by the name aspnet_state what I got on installing IIS on system. Which has startup type manual by default. Is there any mechanism in Installshield 2010 to change this to automatic.
Solutions I have opted so far are:
[LIST=1]
Changing the registry system-currentcontrolset-services-aspnet_state-start-003 to 02 which is a code in registry for automatic.
But the disadvantage with this approach is when uninstalling, the installer removes the values from registry of start leaving the service in unstable state.
Can this restriction be implied that registry value remain in registry and installer will not remove this key value pair.
[LIST=2]
executing batch file sc config but that is not an efficient manner.
Thanks in advance.
